C.A.S.E. MEETING NOTICE
(CITIZENS AGAINST SEA-TAC EXPANSION)
WHAT: CASE Monthly "No 3rd. Runway" Meeting
WHERE: ERAC (Highline District Adm. Office)

WHEN: Wednesday, September 6th, 2000.
TIME: 7pm. to 9pm.
You and your neighbors are invited to attend our September monthly CASE meeting. This is the first monthly CASE meeting after the summer break. The primary focus of the meeting will be on the ACC actions in opposition to the Port of Seattle requests for the 401 and 404 Permits from the Department of Ecology and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Primary speakers will include: Bob Scheckler (ACC Chairman), Peter Eglick (ACC Attorney) and Barbara Hinkle (ACC Staff and former Port of Seattle Environmental Manager). These qualified people will review the on-going activities currently bogging down the approval of the permits. There will be time for questions and comments from the floor.
First on the meeting Agenda at 7:00 PM, Highline School District Superintendent Dr. Joeph McGeehan and School Board Member Tom Slattery will briefly discuss the upcoming $297.5 million capital bond for school construction and remodeling. The bond election is set for September 19th, 2000. Discussions will include overall scope of the bond issue, the necessity of the construction and the plan for the Highline School District to obtain mitigation from the Port of Seattle for the noise resulting from Sea-Tac aircraft operations.
CASE President Mike Anderson and RCAA President Larry Corvari will update us on other activities as time permits.
